Specialist Therapy for ADHD.

Hi, I’m Laura. I’m a specialist therapist for ADHD.

I’m a therapist for ADHD, with ADHD. You don't have to over-explain or justify your ADHD to me, because I get it.

You don’t have to explain to me that suggestions like “just be more organised”, “just be more disciplined”, “just buy a planner” or “just leave on time”, simply just doesn’t cut it.

I use evidence-based therapies and the latest research to help people manage the difficulties of ADHD, alongside any other challenges that come with it.

My approach is about working with the ADHD, rather than against it.

AHPRA Registered General Nurse (RN):

Registration number: NMW0004022945

NMC Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN):

Registration number: 21F1498E

You don’t need more discipline.

You don’t need to try harder.

You need strategies that actually work for your brain

Do you find yourself…

  • Feeling overwhelmed, frustrated, stressed often?

  • Being self critical, blaming or doubting yourself?

  • Struggling with getting started on tasks and staying consistent?

  • Feeling stuck in cycles of avoidance or procrastination?

  • Feeling anxious, worried or like your in survival mode?

  • Overthinking, catastrophizing and thinking the worst

Or perhaps your ADHD isn’t the main difficulty and you’re seeking support for something else, but you just want a therapist who gets it, without having to justify or explain it. That’s more than okay too.

Therapy for ADHD can help you break the cycle of:

ADHD therapist with ADHD

I bring both a personal understanding of the condition and professional knowledge on the relevant evidence-based strategies to help manage it.

Specialised, Adapted therapy.

Therapy adapted to you, not the other way around.

Therapy is not a one size fits all approach. I offer specialised and tailored treatment, that is bespoke and centred around your specific needs.

Trauma Informed Approach.

I recognise that the challenges of ADHD are often closely linked to past experiences of shame, criticism or rejection.

I look to not just ‘challenge’ thoughts or feelings, but also explore their origins - to identify past experiences that have left us with emotional wounds. This approach helps us understand how these continue to affect our nervous system in the here and now, creating a safe space for self compassion and healing.

Bringing 7+ years of clinical experience in mental health.

I bring with me six years of clinical experience, working with different populations and various different clinical environments.
